Hanover Township COVID-19 Updates ***IMPORTANT***

*May 2020 Trash day is cancelled.

*Starting May 11, 2020, the Township will be going back to normal business hours (8-12 and 1-4).  In person business will be limited to what is necessary to be done in person, and will need to be done by appointment only. This will allow us to make sure only one resident is in the office at a time, and to be able to sanitize frequently. Please call 563-2791 before coming to the office to determine if your needs can be met via phone/mail, or if in person is needed, to schedule an appointment. As always, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home!

*Permits will be issued by appointment from 9-12 on Friday, May 8, 2020.  You MUST call to schedule an appointment.

*Tire Day at Pulaski: Tire Day has been moved to July 11, 2020 from 8-12 at the Pulaski Township Hall.

*The State of Michigan Burn ban has ended.  Please call if you are doing large amounts of burning.

*Round/Farwell Utility (Sewer) Bills that are due on April 15, 2020 will now be due on June 15, 2020 without penalty.  This is an extension of the due date for this quarter; you will still be receiving your regularly scheduled quarterly bill after this.

*Throughout the Coronavirus epidemic, Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered. Providing meals is an important part of helping older adults stay home. If you know someone age 60 and older who needs meals delivered to their home, please have them call the Jackson County Department on Aging, 788-4364. There’s no fee for Meals on Wheels. People have the option of donating toward the cost of their meals, but making a donation is not required.

• Meals are frozen and delivered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The week of April 13 – 17, we delivered 7,966 meals to 779 seniors. We’ve needed to temporarily restructure how we prepare and deliver meals, so the assortment of meals is not as varied as what we normally provide.

• Department on Aging employees are calling older adults who are more isolated, to talk about how they’re doing and whether they need anything.

• We continue to provide information about resources and are answering messages left at our 788-4364 number.

*May 2020 Board Meeting has been moved to May 20, 2020 at 7:30PM
